The combined solution generates reports based on updated and accurate data upon which business decisions can be made. This enables users to represent complex IT structures, lower operation costs and risks, and fulfil compliance directives, while increasing IT transparency. Tideway's flagship product, Foundation, illustrates the links between IT infrastructure, applications and business processes, showing the effects of a fault on IT availability. System views can be stored for as long as desired and give a breakdown status at pre-defined times.

Foundation will be supplied by Danet in a pre-configured form, delivering a comprehensive IT audit to generate management reports. The solution will prove results as early as the first day, which can be further concentrated and refined in an iterative process during the IT audit. Immediately after the first discovery process, clients are provided with relevant operation information on patch levels, software packages, hardware configuration and communication relationships. This data can be integrated into a Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) in accordance with ITIL to support processes such as incident or change management.

The second stage of Danet's IT audit includes Business Application Modelling, which represents the dependencies between IT infrastructure, applications and business processes. The visualisation of these dependencies utilises the advantages of the architecture from Tideway Foundation, such as the Reasoning-Engine and the Knowledge Library.
