Weiterstadt, February 28, 2008 - Danet GmbH, a leading independent IT consulting and service company which is primarily active in the telecommunications and media industry, has slightly increased its revenue for fiscal year 2007 to 51.7 million euros, and can also report an improved profitability.

"The results of business year 2007 have shown that we are on the right track. We succeeded in increasing our revenue base after the downturn of the last few years, and this within a most challenging market environment. Thus, we were able to achieve the turnaround", says Dr. Reiner Nickel, CEO at Danet.

The revenue breakdown by customer shows that Danet generated 86 percent of the total revenue with its customers in Germany; the other 14 percent of its total revenue were made by serving customers abroad.

The revenue breakdown by industry confirms Danet's market position as a leading independent IT consulting and service company primarily for the telecommunications and media sector: 78 percent of the total revenue were achieved with business in the telco sector, i.e. 3 percentage points higher compared to the year before. The automotive industry represented 8 percent of the total revenue, the two sectors financial services and transport & logistics contributing 6 percent each. Danet's business with the telecommunications industry is focussing on IT consulting services and IT solutions which the company offers to providers of telephony, internet, broadband and mobile phone services to help them implement their business processes.

In addition to its proven business models like IT consulting, system integration, and application management, Danet has developed a new market approach with its On-Demand Services. Customers from the telecommunications and media sector such as the drugstore chain 'Schlecker' with their pre-paid offer Smobil, or the French pay-TV provider 'TV Numéric' are already successfully using Danet's On-Demand Solution "Order to Cash". As the outsourcing market segment enjoys increasing acceptance and reveals prospects with the outsourcing of non-core business activities, so IDC analysts, it will be now and in the long run one of the key growth drivers of the German IT Services market. Against this background, Danet will continue to gradually develop its On-Demand business activities.

According to the German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media BITKOM, the demand for IT services in 2008 is still growing. At the same time, business in the telecommunications industry will continue to undergo significant changes. In the current business year, Danet aims to secure its market position as a reliable IT services partner for the telecommunications and media sector by aligning its service offer portfolio more strongly to the business models and processes of its customers.

For business year 2008, the company plans to grow by four percent and to increase its profitability. "In order to achieve a profitable growth, we will enhance our service offer portfolio systematically by clearly defining its focuses, aligning it more precisely to the customer needs in terms of business model and business process, and further develop our customer orientation", says Dr Reiner Nickel.
