Speed and time-to-market are the prime factors in the telco sector. For providers this means bringing innovative services onto the market in increasingly shorter cycles and ever more frequently. A high degree of automation for the activation of the services in the network is business-critical. On the one hand, in order to satisfy the end customers and to prevent revenue turnover loss, on the other hand. In this case technology in the telco network, whether mobile, fixed network or Internet is irrelevant.
With VMD, Danet offers a powerful provisioning and mediation solution, which is composed of two independent components.
VMDS (VMD for Service Provisioning) supports the activation of services for subscribers in the telco network through the transformation of the relevant data of the order management system in the relevant telco network elements.
VMDB (VMD for Billing Mediation) processes the usage data from the telco networks and prepares this for the subordinate billing or customer-care systems. VMD is the bridge between the network infrastructure and the back-office systems.
The modular architecture of VMD makes it possible to connect the systems with each other and to adapt flexibly to individual customer requirements. In addition, companies can standalone configure new services in the system. In this way, new services can be placed rapidly on the market.
